XSCACE ROOTS DSP
The legacy Windows DSP editor for Root-series amplifiers.
XSCACE ROOTS DSP is the original Windows editor for Root-series DSP amplifiers, covering 2-in/2-out and 4-in/4-out hardware over USB or the local network. It exposes the full signal chain: a routing matrix from any input to any output, per-channel gain, mute, delay and parametric EQ on both inputs and outputs, crossovers with Bessel, Butterworth and Linkwitz-Riley responses at 12, 18, 24 and 48 dB per octave, per-output limiting, BTL bridging across output pairs, and preset save and recall. As of August 2026 the Root series is supported natively in XSCACE Studio on macOS, which is where new installations should start. This editor is retained for installers running Root-series hardware already in the field on Windows, and is no longer developed.

Routing Matrix
Any input to any output. Each cross-point switches independently, so one source can feed all four outputs or four sources can stay separate. Supports 2-in/2-out and 4-in/4-out Root-series hardware, connected over USB or the local network.

Input and Output EQ
Independent parametric EQ on every input and every output, alongside per-channel gain, mute, delay and phase. Inputs can be linked so a stereo pair edits together.

Crossovers and Limiters
High-pass and low-pass per output with Bessel, Butterworth and Linkwitz-Riley responses at 12, 18, 24 and 48 dB per octave, and a limiter on every output channel.

BTL Bridging and Presets
Bridge-tied load mode across output pairs 1+2, 3+4, or both, for driving a higher-impedance load from two channels. Complete configurations save and recall as presets, with a confirmation before a load overwrites the active setup.
