1 · Set up the project
Upload the
complete plan for each storey — the whole floor with all its rooms, not a single room. Add a
Floor per storey (+ in the Floors panel) and drop in its plan image.
Then
Trace each room's outline on that plan to create a
Zone you design independently, and
Set Scale from any dimension you already know — the length of a wall works best — so everything is true to size.
Rename floors/zones by double-clicking their names (spaces are fine); drag a room corner to reshape it, and use the
Opacity slider to fade the plan image behind your work.
2 · Place & tune speakers
Drag products from the sidebar (or
Browse All /
Other Brand) onto the plan — they snap to walls. Each
model is colour-coded with a legend on the plan (and in the report); subs are rounded-square.
In
Properties set mounting height, rotation, a
drive-power slider (changes predicted SPL) and cable gauge, add
Accessories / rigging (floor stand, corner mount…) that ride onto the BOQ — add your own, incl. third-party, and choose which models they fit — and set a
unit price and
discount %.
3 · Analyse the room
The toolbar groups the tools into menus.
Coverage → SPL Map (per band: Low · Mid · High) and Speaker SPL (one speaker alone).
Analysis → Room Modes (bass peaks/nulls + a detailed modal bass curve), Set MLP & Reflections, Detect Furniture (AI) — or add furniture by hand from common shapes (drag, resize,
R to rotate) — and 3D (waterfall, dispersion cones, walk-through). Labels show on hover.
4 · Home cinema (Cinema menu)
The
Cinema menu overlays the
Dolby reference angles for 5.1 / 7.1 / Atmos and checks each surround, and suggests Atmos height-speaker positions.
Set Screen fixes the screen direction;
Phantom C models the L/R centre image;
Auto-label channels names speakers by role (FL, C, SR, TFL…) — the product stays on hover and in the report.
5 · Complete the system
In
Amplification & Source pick a streamer and amplifier — or
add several amps to one zone (e.g. a Lucifer 8 + a Lucifer 4). Powered subs can drive the satellites themselves (Acacia 2-channel out, Banyan Pith mono out); an
AVR / Processor is its own source, so it needs no separate streamer.
Suggest System (AI) proposes the electronics; a ⚠ flags anything missing.
Set Rack marks the head-end that cable runs are measured from; record measured RT60/NC per zone after calibration.
6 · Price, report & deliver
Set each zone's
Application (Music or Home Cinema) to shape the report, and add up to two
photos / renders per zone. Music prints one SPL map per zone; Home Cinema breaks out each channel with the Dolby angles, screen and seat, plus a Room Modes page.
Pricing lives in one place —
Project menu →
Edit BOQ / quote: unit price, discount %, a custom spec column (e.g. "Marine Treated"), labour & other charges, an overall discount, tax %, round-off,
optional lines, terms and "prepared by", grouped by
room or category.
Price List (Project menu) keeps your standard prices & currency on your account.
Export menu → BOQ (Excel) or the client report (PDF);
